Food prep is one of those things people do that looks really impressive, but you never seem to have the time to do yourself. Getting your weekly lunch and healthy snacks sorted on a Sunday is the goal, but sometimes life happens and you can’t quite drag yourself away from an Ex on the Beach marathon. We’re here for you though!

Protein balls are our current favourite thing. They’re super easy to make and you can be as inventive as you like in regards to ingredients and flavours. They’re packed full of protein and whole foods so you can get your energy kick from a good source and not an empty sugar rush. Plus, even the laziest cook can put these together.

      Cookie Dough Protein Balls Ingredients

      METHOD:

      Literally throw all the ingredients in a mixer and then roll. Boom! It will take you less than ten minutes from start to finish. These beauties can be kept in the fridge for a week and are perfect for taking to work when the mid-morning hunger strikes.

      Cookie Dough Protein Balls
      (Makes 10)

      • ½ cup oats
      • ½ cup almond meal
      • ½ cup of nut butter (we used almond)
      • 1 scoop of Neat Nutrition protein powder (we used vanilla whey)
      • Cacao nibs
      • 2 tblspns hazelnut milk
      • Maple syrup to bind the mixture
