SportsAid is the only national charity its kind – providing financial support and recognition to young British athletes aspiring to be the nation's next Olympic, Paralympic, Commonwealth or world champions. The charity is supporting over 1,000 athletes, the vast majority aged 12 to 18, in 2016. SportsAid has supported thousands of athletes during the critical early stages of their careers over the last four decades. These include Mo Farah, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Tom Daley, Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish, Adam Peaty, Heather Stanning, Louis Smith, Max Whitlock, Laura Trott, Katherine Grainger, Chris Hoy, Steve Redgrave, Ellie Simmonds, Paula Radcliffe, Seb Coe, David Weir, Ben Ainslie, Tanni Grey-Thompson, Kelly Holmes, Sarah Storey, Ade Adepitan and Jonnie Peacock.
