In a mixing bowl, mix together the dry ingredients (except the chocolate chips) until well-combined. Next, add in the milk and peanut butter and mix well until you get a smooth batter with no lumps.
If using, stir in the chocolate chips last, and pour the mixture into a small ramekin, bowl or mug greased with a little coconut oil. Microwave for 1-11/2 minutes (depending on the power of your microwave) until the brownie is cooked but is still moist in the middle. Be careful not to overcook it as this will make the texture rubbery!
Add the toppings of your choice and enjoy.
