Set Your Goals

Over-exhaustion is always a motivational killer. So, it’s unsurprising that getting some time off to rest and reset is often a catalyst for a whole new wave of inspiration. It’s the perfect opportunity to reflect on the last year and write down all the things you would like to achieve in 2019.

Make a Plan

Don’t just set your goals and expect them to come true without action. Write down the steps you need to take to actually make them happen, and if you can, get started. That might just be joining a new gym or signing up for a short course. Once you’ve got your plan in place, even your wildest dreams will seem far more achievable.

Read an Inspirational Book

When you’re feeling a little bit lost, there’s nothing like an inspirational read to help you feel back on track. Take advantage of the extra time on your hands and grab a good read to keep you occupied. Whether that’s an autobiography from one of your hero’s or a well-renowned business book you’ve been meaning to read all year.

Get Some Exercise

If you’ve taken some time off from training over the Christmas holidays, now is a great time to ease yourself back in. A gentle run, bike ride or light weights session will make getting back to your normal routine in January so much easier.

Have a Clear Out

It’s a bit of a cliché, but it’s always nice to start the new year with a tidy mind, and a little less clutter! Clear out your cupboards, give the house a good clean and take any unwanted clothes to the charity shop. It’ll make you feel ten times calmer - perfect after the stress of the festive season...
