The Best Outdoor Pools in London

With Lee and Charlie being former GB swimmers, it's safe to say here at Neat we love taking to the pool for a good session! Yet with the weather here in London set to be so glorious this summer (this week doesn't count!), it seems a shame to head to the pool when you could be soaking up the sunshine instead. So to help you make the most of the Summer and still get in those laps, we've rounded up the best outdoor pools in London that are definitely worth a visit:

Outdoor Pools in LDN | Neat Nutrition. Clean, Simple, No-Nonsense.

Brockwell Lido

Located on the edge of Brockwell Park, Brockwell Lido's open-air pool is a popular spot for a swim all year round. The 50-metre pool is surrounded by an art deco Grade II listing building and even has it's very own award-winning café  - it's no wonder the locals love it!

Find it: Brockwell Park, Dulwich Rd, London, SE24 0PA

Kings Cross Pond Club

Swimming in the middle of a construction site might not sound all that appealing, but the Kings Cross Pond Club is actually a surprisingly relaxing spot to take a dip. Originally created as an art installation, designed to highlight the contrast between urbanity and the natural world, the pond club is now a fully-functionning pool. Swimmers can enjoy the 40 metre long natural bathing pond that's entirely chemical free - the water is purified using wetland and water plants to filter the water and keep it clear. Spaces are limited though, so be sure to book in advance!

Find it: 20 Canal Reach, London, N1C 4BE

Oasis Sports Centre

The Oasis Sports Centre is certainly an oasis hidden away in the middle of London's hustle and bustle, making it a great place to cool off after a busy day at work. The pool is on the small size and can get very busy, so it isn't the best option for more serious swimmers, but with it's very own sun terrace and café, it's the perfect place to take a quick dip before relaxing in the sun.

Find it: 32 Endell St, London, WC2H 9AG

London Field's Lido

Saved from demolition by the London Fields User Group, London Field's Lido, located in Hackney, is a popular 50-metre, heated, outdoor pool. Avoid peak hours if you want to get in your laps hassle-free, and make sure to reward yourself afterwards by relaxing on the sun terrace. Who needs to go on holiday when this is on your doorstep?

Find it: London Fields Westside, London, E8 3EU

Hampstead Heath Swimming Ponds

Fancy something a little more wild? Get back to nature in Hampstead Heath's bathing ponds. There are three ponds for swimmers (one mixed, one male and one female pond), which remain open all year round. It's a truly beautiful place for a sunny afternoon swim, as long as you don't mind being joined by some of the local wildlife!

Find it: Hampstead Heath, London, NW5 1QR
