Neat Nutrition Ambassadors Bart Van Maanen and Olivia Cooney are the Co Founders of Pop Up Fitness Retreats and are two people who seriously know their fitness. Holding incredible fitness retreats in beautiful locations all over the world, they use nature as their gym and will certainly put you through your paces! We chatted to them to find out how they fuel their busy lifestyles and what exactly they eat to stay in such great shape.

What’s your ‘Day on a Plate’?
Olivia: Breakfast - Bran flakes/Steel cut oats/Neat Nutrition protein pancakes
Lunch - Quinoa salad with nuts, chicken, avocado and spring onion +1 egg
Dinner – Stir-fry with chicken/prawns, salmon and veg, my favourite is steak tartar!
Bart: Breakfast - Steel cut oats with coconut/almond milk with lots of added ingredients; banana, goji berries, mixed seeds & cinnamon. No sweetener.
Lunch - Quinoa salad with nuts, chicken, avocado and spring onion, egg + rocket salad.
Dinner - Salmon and veg; asparagus and spinach with a melted cottage cheese sauce.
Favourite shake recipe and why?
Bart: Natural Neat Protein with cold water, splash of coconut milk, cinnamon, a teaspoon of peanut butter and banana + few ice cubes in a blender. I love this because it tastes naughty but its not!!
Olivia: I love the vegan berry flavour with coconut milk, ice and frozen berries. The boys loved this when I told them why…. It honestly took me right back to my early days when I first tried a strawberry milkshake from Macdonalds!!!
What's your favourite healthy snack?
Bart: “Powerball” made from blitzing dates, cacao powder, cashews, almonds and goji berries also with a pinch of chilli powder!
Olivia: My favourite snack definitely has to be nuts, as boring as that sounds.
What's your favourite guilty pleasure snack?
Olivia: A little bit of chocolate goes a long way with me!!
Bart: Apple pie!
