This chai spiced oats recipe is what we call comfort food. Warming, gently spiced and sweet - exactly what we need to persuade us out of bed on a cold Autumn morning!
First, pop the kettle on and make your chai tea, leaving it to brew for a couple of minutes. Then, add it to a pan with the oats, sweetener, vanilla extract, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and 1/4 cup of the oat milk.
Place this on a medium heat and keep stirring, until the oats cook through and the oatmeal becomes soft and thick.
Once your oats are cooked, take the pan off the heat and stir in the vanilla protein powder. Add the extra 1/4 cup of oat milk if needed to reach your desired consistency.
Top with chopped pecans, dates and yoghurt before tucking in!
