Chocolate Orange Granola

Striking a balance between enjoying the pre-Christmas indulgences and maintaining your healthy lifestyle is no easy feat. Especially when your diary is jam-packed and you're struggling to prep your meals. This is where our new chocolate orange granola recipe comes in! It's got all the indulgent flavours of Christmas, whilst still providing you with a nutritious start to the day. Just whip up a batch on Sunday evening and you'll be all set for a week's worth of breakfasts!

METHOD:

Preheat the oven to 170c. Mix together the dry ingredients (except the chopped nuts), before adding in all the wet ingredients (including the pre-melted chocolate).

Once well-combined spread the granola mixture evenly on to two baking sheets and place in the oven for about 20 minutes. Take out the granola, add the chopped nuts and give it a good stir, making sure it cooks evenly. Return to the oven and cook for a further 5-10 minutes.

Once the granola is out of the oven and has been cooled, add in the extra chopped dark chocolate and orange zest. Store in an airtight container.
