With International Coffee Day happening this weekend, we couldn't resist sharing a celebratory recipe ready for the big day! Although, like many, we're often using coffee to wake us up after a sleepless night, it's also an amazing flavour-enhancer to add to desserts and shakes. Made creamy with avocado and chocolate whey, this mocha mousse is a delicious way to satisfy your sweet tooth and get that much needed caffeine kick!
Cut the avocados in half, remove the stone and the skin and place in a food processor with the milk and blend until smooth.
Next add in the espresso, cocoa powder, chocolate whey protein, salt and blend again until smooth.
Finally, add the sweetener of your choice slowly, until you reach your desired sweetness. Serve with the toppings of your choice; we love dark chocolate, berries and coconut yogurt!
