The New Zealand kiwi is currently in season so we thought we’d suggest a tasty way to enjoy these wonderful furry fruits!
Kiwis are bursting with antioxidants, so along with the blueberries, this shake is packing a punch in regards to helping you fight those free radicals. Kiwi is a great source of vitamin C so you’re also helping your immune system. In addition, the kiwi contains fibre to assist you with digestion and help you feel satiated.
Meanwhile, wheatgrass is an easy addition to your five a day. Containing vitamins A, E, C, K and B6 as well as calcium, iron and magnesium, it’ll provide a good source of micronutrients.
First, peel and quarter your kiwi (unless you really like that fuzzy skin). Pop everything in the blender, starting with your apple juice. You only need a little of this as the kiwis will produce a lot of juice. Blend until the spinach has broken down.
