Did you know that today is National Fitness Day? Our friends at ukactive, the amazing not-for-profit physical activity organisation, have started this awesome initiative to encourage the nation to get active and celebrate the fun of fitness.
Here at Neat Nutrition, encouraging people to get active is something we're very passionate about. We believe that finding a fun activity that suits your lifestyle, whether that's dancing, HIIT, weightlifting or rock climbing, is the key to staying fit and healthy for life. So we're very excited by ukactive's campaign to spread this message across the UK!
For those who haven't heard about National Fitness Day before, ukactive's aim for the initiative is to highlight the role physical activity plays across the UK and to raise awareness of its importance.
They want to establish today as the most active day of the year, engaging with a huge range of different people, from the completely inactive to the super fit, in a variety of settings. They're encouraging people across the nation to grab their friends, family members or colleagues to exercise together and celebrate the fun of fitness!
With this week also being SportsAid Week, which you can read more about here, National Fitness Day is the perfect opportunity to get involved with SportsAid's #MyMiles challenge to help them raise money for the UK's young, talented athletes.
