Party Season Survival: Our 3 Favourite Hangover Shakes
Although we might pledge to look after our health during the Christmas party season, “just having a couple” before heading home to bed, often those good intentions end up going straight out the window. Before you know it, you’re crawling back home in the early hours of the morning, takeaway pizza in hand! So to help you get back on track when you wake up feeling fragile after too much festive fun, here’s our 3 favourite shakes to cure your hangover…
Hangover Shake
This one is our go to after a big night, as it’s bursting with antioxidants! It’s made using our Supergreens Powder, which contains 19 individual greens, giving you an immune boosting hit of green goodness.
Blueberries are believed to have the highest amount of nutrients in any commonly consumed fruit or veg so will start working to replenish your body’s supply. Banana and coconut water are full of potassium to help clear that fuzzy head while chia seeds will help to regulate the flow of water in your system and prevent dehydration. Find the recipe, here.
Selassi's Green Goblin Shake
This green goblin shake recipe made by GBBO contestant Selasi Gbormittah, might be a whole lot healthier than the sugary treats he baked on the show, but don't be fooled into thinking it lacks the punchy flavours he's best known for - combining mango and coconut water to give the classic green smoothie a tropical twist.
Made using coconut water, it is super hydrating and full of potassium – a key nutrient for feeling better faster. Find the recipe, here.
Choc Hazelnut Thickshake
We get it, sometimes a green smoothie just isn’t going to cut it when the hangover kicks in. Indulgent but not. This chocolate hazelnut thickshake, a cross between an ice cream sundae and a milkshake, tastes just like a popular brand of chocolate spread and will satisfy those cravings whilst being surprisingly good for you!
