Berry Protein Smoothie Bowl

Although we are all inclusive at Neat HQ, this recipe by Katie Morgan is aimed at the ladies thanks to the inclusion of maca. Native to the Andes, Maca is a root from the broccoli family and can be found in powder form. While it doesn’t contain hormones, it’s been lauded for it’s nutrients which are essential for the support of normal hormone production. Basically, these nutrients are said to help maintain levels and if you have an imbalance, they may be able even things out.

It doesn’t stop there though. It’s also said to help with:

  • Boosting energy
  • Improving fertility
  • Reducing cortisol (the stress hormone)

So all in all, a handy little ingredient!
